Complaint Review: Super 8 Motel

I wish I had taken the time to read these other rip off and/or reports about Super 8 before checking in.
After several hours travel and it being late at night,we checked into a Super 8 in Asheboro, NC without looking at the room (our mistake, but thinking it would be clean being a Super 8).

It was awful. Bathroom was nasty even down to the tank lid on the commode, sink and kleenex holder was nasty, shower curtain was so wrinkled.

We decided to make the best of it since it was so late and we had already paid. Took the spreads off the bed to find totally threadbare dirty blankets and wrinkled sheets. Pictures in the room were covered with dust as was the tv, slat were on the floor under the bed and cobwebs abounded reaching from corner to corner. When we turned in the key/card and remote at the desk, no one ever appeared to wait on us or speak to us even after an extended wait. This was not a cheap rate motel.

Totally repulsed that anyone would charge for rooms like this. We did take pics tho!! Hopefully this will stop someone else from checking in or checking out in a hurry.
