We were under contract which expired.  Master Terry became extremely high pressure and was very belittling when we did not want to sign the long term contract commitment due to our life situation at that time.  We were told we had to either sign a 3 year contract or we could not be involved.  AND then the contract was not able to be cancelled for 90 days.  I refused to sign and he then came up with a 1 year contract with the same cancellation policy.  I refused to sign with the 90 day notice because of my son's status.  He accepted changing of the terms and a 30 day cancellation.

Then we had to cancel because my son's Dr. did not want him getting hit in the head anymore.  Sent the certified letter and written notice of cancellation.  Have been billed for 90 days past that and now the billing company says they have no record of our cancellation.  This leaves me with a big bill that I really can't afford for something that we were not able to use.

They also hit my friends account 8 times in one day and the bank hit her with 8 n.s.f. fees.  I definitely agree with the other poster here:  They really care:  about your money.

We at Super T Karate are grieved to see this report, and feel that it is a misrepresentation of our business and us as people. Though we know who gave this report, we do intend to protect her identity by not using her name here. She is correct in saying that we have a 36 month agreement that can be cancelled with a 90 day written notice. Our policy is not to shorten that at all, however, in light of the life situations she is speaking of, we allowed them to move down to a 60 day written notice to cancel.

When they decided it was time to cancel the membership, regrettably our billing company did make a mistake and charge them for a third month after they cancelled, but as soon as this was brought to our attention we reimbursed the money that was overcharged and apologized profusely.

At Super T Karate, we always put our students first, as we did with the friend she speaks of, who, even though many months behind on payments, we allowed her son to continue training with us while she got caught up, which she never has, and despite our rights to do so, we have NOT pursued payments.

Before believing a ripoff report anywhere, check the facts and get a clear vision of both sides of the story.

Thank you,
Super T Karate Staff.
