My elderly mother with Alzheimers let an MBNA account go deliquent. MBNA sold the accont off to Superior Asset Mgt. She received the collection notice, and I settled the account with Superior for $188 less than was owed. When I asked for a receipt to be faxed, emailed or mailed, they said they do not do that, but the account was paid and closed.

For months they have continued to call me and my mother for the balance. They did catch my mother on the phone, and convinced her (87 yrs old with alzheimers), to give them her checking account number.

They have continued to try and take an additional $207 from her account every two weeks. Repeated calls to let them know I did settle the account and to stop attempting to take funds from my mothers account have been met with comlete disrespect and extremely rude responses. The will not ackowledge a final settlement was made on the account.

They insist the account has not been settled, and they do not make attempts to withdraw funds. I have been hung up on and treated with complete rudeness every time I call. We were finally forced to close my mothers checking account, but the phone calls from them continue. I have contacted the local police department to file a complaint.
