UPDATE: Click Here to see how Superior Benefits contacts Rip-off Report, stating they will give REFUNDS to unsatisfied customers, working harder to avoid employee & customer misunderstandings.

I received a call from Shephard Pyre of Superior Benefits. He stated that Superior Benefits can help me rebuild my credit by offering me a credit card in the amout of $2,000 for a one time amount of $299.

After talking with Mr. Pyre about the benefits of the card I explained to him that I could not afford to pay the amount at that time, however I would pay it at a later date. Mr. Pyre informed me that I could schedule the withdrawal for November 17. 2003, however I could change the date as long as the changed date was before the seventh of November.

I agreed and attempted to cancelled the scheduled date on November 13, 2003 and could not get through because the telephone lines were busy. I called again on November 14, 2003 and spoke with Derrick and was told I needed to give the company 3 business days notice. I explained to Derrick my conversation with Mr. Pyre and Derrick stated again that the company could not stop the withdrawal. I further stated that I am no longer interested in the offer.

I later talked with my bank to try to stop payment on the withdrawal and was told that I would have to send Superior Benefits and the bank this information in writing. Unfortunately, I was not able to put the information in writing fast enough to stop the withdrawal. I have attempted to contact Superior Benefits more than 100 times daily over the telephone since 11/17/03 but without success. The telephone just rings or the telephone line is busy.

I took the advice of someone on the internet who had a similar experience with Superior Benefits and file a complaint. I filed an ACH form with my bank to dispute the withdrawl. I have ten days before I receive a response from my bank. I plan to go to my local attorney general's office on 11/20/03 to file a complaint as well.

Beware

I too am a victim of this scam. I talked with Eric who called me and explained this credit card with a $2000 limit for a one time fee of $299. He stated that the money would be withdrawn from my checking account on a day that I chose. I stated Dec. 1st. He then went on to tell me I had three business days to change my mind. At no time did he say it was non refundable. This call took place on November 24. After a couple of days I decided it probably isn't a good idea to get this card so I called on Nov. 28 to cancel this transaction. I spoke with a woman who stated that hadn't received my file yet. I explained I didn't want this credit card and to please note my file. She asked that I call back on the 1st or 2nd of Decemember to make sure this was done. I called on Decemember 2nd and spoke with Dana Thompson. I explained I had called on November 28 and that I didn't want this offer. Dana stated it had not been noted and that she would not the file. She stated that I had nothing to worry about and assured me that the transaction had been voided. The very next day my checking account was debited for $ 299. I immediately called back and asked to speak with Dana Thompson again. Dana got on the phone and I asked her why my account had been debited. Dana then stated to me that they had no record of me calling. I then asked to speak with her supervisor at which time she put me on hold for over an hour. At this time Jessica Daniels got on the phone. I explained that I had called on Nov. 28th and Dec. 2nd to cancel my order. Jessica told me that it was too late and that she could do nothing for me. At this time I got upset and explained I had called on Nov. 28th. She all but called me a liar and transfered me to another supervisor who didn't give his name. He explained that I was SOL. He went on to say that if he had gotten my call first he wouldn't have done anything to help me. Needless to say these people were very rude. I immediately called my bank and I'm in the process of disputing the charges againest my account. If you come across this same scam please hang up and explain you want your name removed from their calling list.

I also see where an employee spoke up for this company. Well I have two words for you Mary......SHUT UP!!!! I understood everything clearly that Eric stated to me and he stated I had three days to change my mind. I understood fully and did change my mind. You guys are the misunderstood ones. You will get whats coming to you.

Thank you
