In August of 2003, I had a credit card company call me to tell me that I was already pre approved for a credit card with low intrest and a $2500 limit. They said it was a company that was here to help me rebuild my credit and restore it to good standings.

I was a little hesitant with it all because they wanted to deduct $299 out of my checking account to be sure that I was A. of age, and B. so that I didnt have to pay any costs in the future.

I told them ok after getting more information from them about the company and what the fees were for. My husband was hesitant but told me to go ahead with it. I gave them my bank information and we set a date to have them withdrawl the money. Well I didnt have it in there on the specific time.

They called me about a thousand times in the course of a week. I was sick and dint feel like talking to anyone at that time. Finally when I talked to someone I told her to call me back at the end of the week and I would have an answer for her.

They proceeded to not care that I told her that I wanted a phone call at the end of the week, the called me every single day! Finally I got fed up and told them that I didn't want the d**n credit card any more, and to stop calling my house.

The lady told me that It was a contract when I spoke my name as it was recorded, and I can't back out of it. I couldn't cancel or do anything with it.

Finally I gave them the date of September 4th. They took the $299 out of my checking account. They said I was to receive a package in 10 to 15 buisiness days. I didnt receive it until about the middle of october

Then they told me that within a few days of my package, I will get a sign card from the bank, I sign it, send it back and within a week I get my credit card. To this date I have seen nothing, heard nothing.

Then I called back 3 times to asked where it was, they said I should have gotten it by now and they would have to re ask a bank to issue me a sign card. Said it would take 1-2 weeks

I am now entering the 4th week, and I have gotten nothing from the bank. I called the other day said I wanted my money back and that I thought they were a scam, the girl said that they dont issue refunds and that if I wanted to try and get a lawyer I could.

I am currently pregnant with my 4th child and my husband is the only one working. My name is now in Chex system b/c the money wasn't there but they took it any ways. Now I can't get a chacking account for 5 to 7 years.

I am so lost and hurt that I don't even know what to do any more. I am out of $299 that I could have put towards my new baby, (which I have nothing for yet because of lack of money)
