In May of 2012 a salesman of Supermedia convinced me it would be beneficary to my company to let Supermedia assist me in my internet marketing. In doing so Supermedia created a tracking number, which was explained to me as being a ghost number that others would not see or use. A few months later this tracking number appeared on my facebook page in place of my office phone number.  I thought it was some kind of facebook glitch so I quickly replaced it.    In January of 2013 I opened a new release of the yellowbook (Super Medias competitor) to check my listing. Much to my surprise the phone number listed for my office was SuperMedias Tracking number!  and NOT my actual phone number of 10 years.  I did not know at that time WHERE this phone number was coming from. I was able to track down a company called Telemetrics. They couldnt inform me as to who OWNED the number but if I guess they could tell me yes or no. I guessed until she said yes. SUperMedia Owned that number.   I followed by doing a google search. In 1 search I printed 6 pages of listing of this Tracking number 443-988-0906 which REPLACED my actual phone number in all listings.   I contacted Super media IMMEDIATELY to begin damage control. I explained to 5 different people that day and NONE were willing to investigate, solve or even apoligize for the problem. My saga continued as I continued to contact them- The answer I got for months " This Never Happened Before."   ANd yet- not one person was going to TRY to resolve the problem so it never happened again.  Just yesterday (thankfully) another customer found me and informed me that she has been calling the 443-988-0906 number that supermedia published.     I personally have been resubmitting the correct telephone number to web browsers since January. The problem. SuperMEdia continues to bill me and I have refuse to pay at this point. IN my opinion they broke the contract by publishing and releasing information that was detrimental to my business.   Of course they refuse to take any responsibilty for this action.   Other Small Businesses need to be informed about this horrible situation created by SUper MEdia. What else can I do to make this nightmare go away?

Dear Supermedia representative ( auto Reply)

If you really cared your company would have taken responsibility for this horrendous mistake and made an attempt to fix it. I would have not had to wasted time and precious hours submitting to search engines trying to fix YOUR mistake.

Instead after your company breaks the contract and harms my business you begin harrassment. Below is a partial call log. It would have been nice to get this many calls about FIXING your mistake. People need to know what to expect from SUperMedia- Dex Media or who ever you are today.
