Supertarget ripoff, Target sells moldy items, refuses refund withouy receipt Orlando Florida
i used to enjoy shooping at the supertarget in my neighborhood as it is convenient and a stones throw from my apartment. However, they have succeeded in pissing me off so badly, I am thinking about a mass boycot and getting everyone in my community involved.
For starters, last hurricane season, i had to report them for price gouging on water. And before that, they consistently get prices wrong(i have to watch each item as it is wrung up and half the time the cashiers don't know nectarines from peaches-i mean,if i worked in a grocery store, i think i would know the difference).
I've been overcharged as much as $3 on one item, and as much as $10 for a $40 purchase! Then, the cashier directs u to custoemr service, where u have to find your place in line and ask for your money back. This happens nearly EVERY time i shop there.
One would wonder what is making me such a loyal customer. I can only think that it is because they have a starbucks in their store-so that is very appealing. I go there in the morning to wake up, then roam around with my coffee and look for groceries.
However, the straw that BROKE the camel's back happened just a few days ago as i was cooking my boyfriend some black beans-n-rice. I opened a brand new bag of basmati rice(i have purchased this brand b-4 at target and i love the fragrance)put in 3 cups into the boiling water and started seeing black bugs float to the surface(boll weevils). i looked into the bag and saw 10 of them ALIVE& CRAWLING around in the bag!!!EWWW!like EWWW!i haven't been able to bring myself to look at a bag of rice since.
I brought the bag back to target, and the manager saw the bugs, asked me if i had a receipt(i'd lost it)looked me in the eye, and said it was target's POLICY to only return items that had a receipt! In the same week, i have bought other spoiled items. Some edamame that i bought at a reduced price of $1(they usually sell for $5) spoiled 2days b-4 the suggested "use by" date.
Also, some blackberries that i bought had a moldy berry in the package that i neglected to see. I brought these items back to the store today &they also stared at me like i was crazy and refused to give me my $back. I went over to the berry isle and inspected 6packages(they all had mold in them). When i look at the shroom display, they are molding on the shelf.
WHen the celery gets bendy, they put in on the clearance shelf. There is absolutely no quality control there. I have even shown theproduce manager rotting and overripe avocadoes(all of them were unsaleable). He just said that they came in that way.
There have been weeks that go by, where i can't make the recipe i want because their produce is all bad, yet, they have the "hands down"WORST" return polciy in history. THey choose to sell perishable items, yet refuse a refund when it is their fault. SOMETHING CHOULD BE DONE TO STOP THIS POLICY_OR BETTER YET_PUT THEM OUT OF BUSINESS!
