Complaint Review: Supportkids.com

Supportkids.com They steal your child support checks from you with a contract. They prey on desperate, unknowing mothers. They take 30% of my child support payments. Well, they were taking 30%. I went to the courthouse and had my name and address put back on the papers so that my checks would come directly to me. They are now trying to sue me or other measures to get back a year or 30% of my checks. Ripoff Austin Texas

I have been with Supportkids.com since 2003. They take 30% of each one of my child support checks. My checks are $288.38 every two weeks (You do the math)!

They have not received a portion of my check since last June 2006. I went to the courthouse and had my name and address put back on original papers.

They are now writing me threatening letters saying they want their money. It's not supportkids.com's money. It's the innocent children's money that the fathers have failed to pay.

Supportkids.com is scum and worth than some of the fathers who we fight against in court to retrieve our support payments from.

We as mothers become desperate and we do not worry about the percentages they take. You're glad, to at least, be receiving something at last!

The really hurtful, scary thing is that they take this percentage out of your check until the child reaches 18 or 21 years of age.

How can you take from the child? How do they determine the percentage that comes from each mother's check? How are they still in existence? Has there been a class action suit filed?

Does anybody know any mothers that would be interested in filing a class action suit? Is there anyway to get some of our money back?

You didn't read your contract

I was with supportkids.com at one time for one year. It states in your contract taht if they don't collect anything in any 12 months period that you can cancel in writing. If they do collect for you, you owe them. Your contract specifically states that if they can collect for you, they get their initial $475 payment and then 30% of each check after that. it also states that if you get monies directly from the non custodial parent that you will turn 30% of that over to supportkids.com.

You signed a contract knowing what they would do. I do not like this company at all becuase they couldn't do what they promised when it came to finding my son's dad. All they ever did was call a leave a message once a week for a yeea. he never called back, duh. I do, however, have to say, they have their stuff straight. You should have read your contract and thought a little longer about the possibikity that they would find him and collect and then you'd be out 30% for their efforts.
