I signed a contract with Supportkids on March, 29th, 2007. On June 2nd and July 31st, 2007 I was told by my local child support agency that they were the ones to find my NCP and send over the wage garnishment form. I then contacted Supportkids requesting that cancel my contract. During my waiting time they were able to collect $475.00 of my daughter's money to go against finding my NCP even though they did not. Also in that time the took 34% of every payment after that to go on wage-withholdings, placing liens on property,freezing assets such as retirement plans, settlements and funds received through inheritance & direct negotiation with the non-custodial parent. Which they had not done. On August 10th, 2007. Supportkids sent me notice saying that they are refusing to cancel our contract. I spoke with an investigator at the Office of Attorney General's office of Tampa, Fl. HE STATED THAT THE CONTRACT THAT MYSELF AND SUPPORTKIDS HAS SIGNED IS IN CONTEMPT OF MY FLORIDA COURT ORDER FOR CHILD SUPPORT. He says that neither Supoprtkids nor myself has the right to enforce any payment that is more than my stated amount of child support. So therefore Supportkids is not allowed to do the following things that are stated on their website except turn over MY (FLORIDA) WAGE WITHHOLDING FORM! So therefore how can they charge 34% of every payment to do these things when they cant? HE ALSO STATED THAT THE MONEY COLLECTED IS FOR MY DAUGHTER AND NOT FOR THEIR FEES. MY COURT ORDER STATES THAT SHE IS TO GET $195.00 A WEEK AND $25.00 TO GO TOWARDS ARREARS. SO THEREFORE THE 34% PERCENT AND FINDERS FEE THAT THEY TOOK, IS FROM HER MONEY AND THAT CONTEMPTS MY COURT ORDER!!!!
He did state however that Supportkids has been known to go behind walls and make the NCP sign an additional wage ganishment form stating that he send some money directly to them and then they bank all that money and US MOTHERS WITH CHILDREN NEVER SEE IT. How can they get away with that? I know I signed a contract but if I am not happy with their services and THEY BREACHED OUR CONTRACT AND THEY ARE IN CONTEMPT OF MY COURTORDER, HOW CAN THEY REFUSE TO CANCEL MY CONTRACT? If there is anyone out there that was able to get Suppotkids to cancel their contract, please let me know. Here are some things that I have tried but, I am not sure how much of an impact they will have on Supportkids agreeing to cancel my contract. FIRST..... YOU DO HAVE A RIGHT TO CHANGE YOUR ADDRESS WITH YOUR LOCAL CHILD SUPPORT AGENCY SO THAT YOUR MONEY WONT GET MAILED TO SUPPORTKIDS!!!!. File a claim with the TEXAS ATTORNEY GENERALS OFFICE. File a claim with the CHILD SUPPORT ENFORCEMENT COUNCIL. File a claim with the BBB of Central & South Texas. Also if you are on talking terms with your NCP, TELL HIM THAT SUPPORTKIDS CANNOT LEGALLY DO ANYTHING TO HIM. If he signed an additional wage garnishment form, HE DOES HAVE THE RIGHT TO TERMINATE IT!
Please do not let Supportkids bully you. Yes you did sign a contract but they are doing shady business, so how far do you think they will go to make you or you NCP abide by the contract that you signed with Supportkids? Support kids can only send over your court order to your NCP place of employment. Anything else that they do is AGAINST THE LAW!!!!!!!!! I am still trying to get Supportkids to cancel my contract based on these findings. They are still refusing. But I will fight to the end intil they do.

I wanted to give an update on my report about Supportkids. After months of fighting with Supportkids to have them cancel my contract, they finally did. However, the battle has not been won. They refused to refund money that they had stolen from my daughter. Also I still have no idea if they are going directly to my NCP and collecting money from him that is not going through the court. Also I filed a complaint with the BBB of Central Texas.
In the end the BBB told me that Supportkids has no intentions to comply with my complaint and there was nothing else that the BBB could do. So world, what does this tell you about Supportkids?????? Do they really want to help your kids? Also I had an investigator from the Attorney Generals office helping me . He stated how shady Supportkids was and advised me of my rights. He told me that the contract and the money Supportkids took from me contempts my court order. However in the end he also told me that there was nothing else he could do because Supportkids was not complying with my wishes.
Why is it that our officials can tell me how shady Supportkids but yet they cant do anything about it?? PLEASE DO NOT HIRE SUPPORTKIDS... THEY WILL NOT FOUND YOUR NCP (THEY WILL WAIT FOR YOUR LOCAL CHILD SUPPORT AGENCY TO DO IT FOR FREE AND THEN CHARGE YOU $475.00). ALSO THEY CAN NOT LEGALLY DO THE THINGS THAT THEY JUSTIFY TAKING 34% FEE FROM EVERY PAYMENT THAT YOU RECEIVE. ALSO WHEN FACED WITH A COMPLAINT, THEY WILL NOT EVEN TRY TO MAKE THEIR CLIENTS HAPPY. THEY ARE MAKING MONEY OFF OF OUR CHILDREN. THEY HAVE NO OTHER INTENTIONS THEN TO STEAL MONEY FROM OUR CHILDREN.
Why wont Support kids refund your money when they know they did not earn it???? All because of a contract I signed... Bottom line they didn't do they things that was listed in our contract but yet they still took. Sick isnt it???
