I worked for supportspace for about five months or so.

All was good until July 15th of 2013.  When there were customers with computer problems calling in, we would fix them and get a commission for the service performed.  Sometimes they'd block a session if you classified it incorrectly or did something wrong during the service, but personally I never had those issues (though I know of others that did).

For me, the problems started when Supportspace lost their contract with GeekSquad (which accounted for practically all of their call volume).  It wasn't the sudden loss of business with no warning that bothered me.  Myself and my fellow contractors who worked for them thought "alright, they'll pay us for last month this month, this month next month, close up shop, and everyone can move on with their lives."

We couldn't have been more wrong.

Our pay schedule was monthly, sometime between the 15th and the 20th, but this month it never came.  First we were told by Monika Aufdermauer in upper management to expect payment on the 23rd.  Then the 23rd rolled by and they recanted, saying that it was only for 'some contractors', and that the rest of us could expect our june payment 1-2 months late and our half-month july check a month afterward.

I do not know if that is true or not. Since they've already lied twice and broken the terms of their payment contract (unfortunately can't afford to hire an attorney over less than $3000 to sue for breach of contract), I can only assume they're stalling for time so they can file bankruptcy and wipe out our wages as unsecured debt.

If by some miracle, they do pay, this report will be updated.  Otherwise, stay away from the swindling crooks at SupportSpace -- they've caused an immense hardship on their contractors and their families by nonpayment of wages.
