Major Scammer - Supreme Brands (US)/Supreme Imports (GB - doing business online in US) markets its few products (acai, colon, "vitamins," and "coaching") under numerous names: Acai Pure, Acai 8, Acai Concentrate, Colon Clean System, Colotrim, Nutralane Vitamins, Slimbody Vitamins, Slimbody Coach, Vital Acai, Weightloss, Xpertheatlh.

I always read the "policy" or "terms & conditions" before ordering anything.  While the terms & conditions did say you had to opt out of the monthly shipping, I'm sure they did not say the 15 days began when you ordered or I would not have ordered.  There was also no mention of agreeing to "try" other products. I will print these in future.

On a website claiming to be "neutral" - only reviewed products, etc., they recommended trying the "free product sample"  of Acai in combination with the "free trail" of Colotrim for the best results.  I ordered the two and ten days later (having only received one product) went on-line and opted out of both. I didn't receive any product the next month, so I was surprised to see it billed to my credit card. I went online to confirm my opt out but could no longer find any  place to do so, and the FAQ's section about how to cancel only offered ways to change the frequency of the order, delay it or change it to a different product. There was no information on the site that actually allowed one to cancel.

I called the telephone numbers listed on my credit card and cancelled both products. I was then gone for two months because of family illness. When I got home not only was I still being charged for the Acai and the Colotrim, but there were also charges for Nutralane Vitamins and Xperthealth. I called my credit card company to start the dispute process. The next statement I also had charges for Slimbody and Weightloss. During the four months between initial order and closing the card permanently Supreme Brands had racked up almost $500 worth of charges and I had received only three shipments of Acai and Colotrim in total.

This company and its products have complaints filed on the following three sites, and probably others I don't know about yet.  (((link redacted))); (((limk redacted)));  www.ripoffreport.com; (((link redacted))).

If anyone who reads this knows a lawyer who deals in class action suits, this company is ripe for one.  If you know of any other sites please list them. If enough information is collected regarding all the names of products used, as many as possible of the various sites where complaints are filed (to get an idea of the real numbers) etc., the more viable it will look to a lawyer. Let's do something and not just complain.

The Importance of Reading Terms & Conditions

#2

Mon, August 24, 2009

Dear Customer,

I'm very sorry that you believe you were scammed by our company - I have read through your complaint thoroughly and I have determined the cause of all of your issues: You did not read the terms and conditions that you agreed to when you signed up for the trial offer.

On our website we repeatedly list terms and conditions to explain to customers how our trial works - in order to place an order with us a customer must agree to these terms by clicking the "Submit" button which is right next to the listed terms and conditions. As a courtesy, we even send customers an email confirmation immediately upon ordering which include a copy of the tems and conditions.

The terms and conditions clearly explains you will have 15-days from the date your product ships to determine if it is right for you - if you are happy you do nothing and when your 15-day trial ends you will be billed for the original shipment, and every 30 days from your original order date we will bill you for and send you a new one-month supply of product so you don't run out. If you are unhappy with the product you just need to call in to our customer service department and close your account, and you will not be billed or shipped anything else.

"I ordered the two and ten days later (having only received one product) went on-line and opted out of both."

It is not possible to opt-out of our trial on-line - as the terms and conditions clearly explain, if you wish to cancel your trial you must call our hot-line and speak to a representative.

As we don't even offer on-line support I'm not sure what site you went to or how you think you were canceled out - what this tells us is that you agreed to the terms and conditions without first reading them. Because of this you did not understand what you were signing up for and have taken numerous illogical steps to cancel the trial and dispute the charges.

There is a reason we list terms and conditions repeatedly and have you agree to them in order to submit your order - it is so customers will be aware of the program they are signing up for.

You state in your complaint that our website does not list information on how to cancel which is patently false- it repeatedly lists our customer service number on the landing page, in the terms and condtions, and in the link on our page that says "Contact."

As you have already disputed the charges there is no further assistance I can offer you - I would advise you to take a critical look in the mirror regarding this order - you signed up for our trial voluntarily while willfully ignoring the terms and conditions that were repeatedly listed and emailed to you.

You were billed because you did not adhere to the terms and conditions - your response to this was to falsely dspute the charges and make a complaint on the internet that is completely fabricated in it's basis. As such, there is no further assistance we can offer you.
