Young man named "Richard Damschroder" came to our door stating that he was a neighbor.  He, currently, attends the University of Miami school of music and is given the opportunity to travel with certain classmates on a trip to London to participate in a musical program.  "Richard's" responsibility was to sell 20,000 points of magazines. My husband and I were shown two sets of magazine brochures.  I ordered two magazines from this first set.  The second set was to be set to a Children's in distress agencey named, "Needy Children Inc.".  This program does not exist.  I did pay by check; however, cancelled my check and sent a formal cancellation notice via usps.  Certified mail, return receipt requested.  I will update this notice if the letter is returned to me.  It does state directly on the receipt, in small bold red lettering, given to the customer that, "....**company not in any way related to a non-profit or charitable organization...or scholastical program of any kind...**in fact it is a profit enterprise".  The receipt further states that if checks are cancelled, legal action will be taken against, me, the customer.  Good Luck guys. Times are tough.  Moral:       Be charitable to known non-profit organizations or to our own military service personnel.
