We used Supreme Van Line to make a move from Orlando, FL to Austin, TX in June 2003. As with others, we asked for a quote upfront. I included a detailed inventory list. Supreme as well as others estimated 8000-10,000 lbs. Even their driver said the same thing when he arrived on site.

The first problem: They didn't have a big enough truck. They arrived on a Friday and had to return on a Sunday with another truck.

Second problem: The actual weight was around 17,000 lbs. So much for their expertise! So, they wanted more money....

Third problem: Almost every box arrived either smashed or torn in some fashion. We had numerous items broken, including a 52" Proscan TV, 27" Sony TV, Gateway Computer, plant stand, dining room and dinette tables scratched, vases broke, etc, etc, etc. We had marked boxes "Fragile". What a mistake that was! Most boxes marked "Fragile" were on the bottom of the truck and the contents broken.

Fourth problem: Supreme has said three times now that they would send me an insurance claim form. Still hasn't arrived! They haven't responded to my emails either.

My wife and I have moved ourselves with a Uhaul several times and never had any problems.

Applicable Transportation Charges- The charges a mover assesses for its services must be contained in a published tariff and the tariff must be made available to prospective shippers upon request. A carrier cannot assess a rate lawfully that is not contained in its tariff. If you feel that the mover has overcharged you, you can me toll free at (866) 254-1792 to obtain assistance with requesting a review of the charges assessed by the mover, and which were paid by you at the time of delivery of your shipment.
