Complaint Review: Surebridge Insurance

Surebridge Insurance MEGA Life & Health same old scam, chesapeake = MEGA insurance, run away FAST Internet

This report is to inform and educate about the new company Chesapeake Insurance & Surebridge Insurance. This company is really not "new", it is just a reinvention of an older company called Mega Life & Health Insurance Company, which has most recently been calling themselves HealthMarkets and which is now calling themselves the very slick sounding Insphere Insurance Solutions, Inc.

This continual name changing trick should be a red flag to any savvy consumer. There are actually a dozen other names that could be used but the names listed above are the main ones.

Surebridge paid my ex-husband

#7General Comment

My ex-husband got hurt at work.  He had several Surebridge policies and all of the policies paid in conjunction with each other,  He did not have one single issue.  They paid him the benefits that he was entitled to and it only took a week from the time that the claim was submitted.

He was thrilled.

Too much time on your hands

#7Consumer Comment

Well it's obvious that you have too much time on your hands because you looked up some information that doesn't prove anything. I was never attesting to the character of the company or providing any biased information about the company. Just the facts.

If you would have looked at the facts you could see that my Insphere appointment began AFTER I posted that comment. Our company just signed on with them last week.

I know you thought you were on to something or had something to prove, but you didnt. The fact still remains that they are still all apart of the same organization and they will never try to hide the fact that they are. That would be like you getting mad at Lexus for not saying that they are a Toyota. What is Lexus trying to hide by using a different name? Oh no big bad Lexus must be out to screw people!

Nope. Just how it works. Different divisions have different names.

And the reason I had put consumer comment is because they didnt have an option that says "I work in the industry" - they only have "employee of company" as an option, which I wasn't.

So, again, please do not try to make me seem like I had a hidden agenda. Instead, all you have done is tarnished another name by posting my licensing credentials on ripoff report, even though I have never ripped anyone off, and was merely trying to clear up some confusion.

Thanks. You're the best.

Randy - a "consumer" is not the same as an agent!

Gee Randy (or Randall)  it sure is funny that you would support this company as a "consumer" when you're actually an AGENT for this very company! My advice to you is run far away before you're in debt to this company and facing lawsuits from unhappy clients...look up Tony Stuart if you don't believe me as he specifically targets ex-MEGA/Healthmarkets/UGA/Cornerstone/NASE/AFS agents with lawsuits!

Furthermore remember that insurance licenses in California are public information, so don't try to pass yourself off as a consumer.

I don't understand

If you have concerns about SureBride, albeit invalid concerns, over the names of the company, why did you post on ripoff report about it? Why tarnish the reputation of a company because you were confused about names? Did they ever rip  you off? Probably not, I'm assuming. And as the previous poster said, Mega, SureBridge, Chesapeake, Insphere, are all under HealthMarkets, which is the parent company.

Do a little more research before you go out and bash a company publically which can ultimately have a huge impact on their reputation.

Annie,
Thanks for responding, as this will really help with ranking in search results.

Take a look at the following:

If Healthmarkets is a holding company, why is it listed as an insurance company?

Subsidiary Companies > Not all the same company

Dear John from Iowa,

If you intend to inform and educate perhaps you should get your facts straight first.  HealthMarkets Inc. is a parent company for a number of subsidiaries including Chesapeake, Mega and Insphere. It's not just one company going by different names but one company that owns a number of other companies that, of course, have different names for their companies.

Hopefully the savvy consumer will take their information from a more credible source than an anonymous  poster they can check out the Oklahoma Insurance Commissioners press release on July 3, 2012 to find out why he said that HealthMarkets is a big win for consumers.
