I made a serious error in judgement last January when I sent for a disk advertising "Home Business Opportunities" on E-bay. This was how my credit card number was revealed for shipping and handling charges. After looking the information over we decided this was not an option for us.

The next time we heard from this company was a phone call from and extremely pushy saleman wanting all of our credit card numbers and spending limits. My husband and I both stated to these two individuals (the first guy added his "boss" to the mix} that we were not interested in this business and to please cancel any type of membership we had supposedly enrolled in.

The nature of my husbands business takes us out of town for the summer, so while still paying our credit card bill, our paper billing was waiting for us at home.

This weekend after going through our bills, we finds charges for $29.95 beginning with our May billing.

The first # listed on the billing statement was disconnected, but the second put me through to someone overseas. After a difficult conversation, all I managed to get was they would cancel future billings, but they would not refund past payments.

Enter my credit card company... they cannot stop future billings, so I had to file a dispute. God Bless "Adam" the gentleman handling my dispute. He contacted the company and made a conference call. With practically no hesitation, three months will be credited to my credit card and the fourth month will be mailed in a check form. I received a confirmation number and confirmation email from this company. Now we will wait and see if this company follows through.

Lesson learned... check every billing statement regardless of where you are at! If this does not work, my next step is the Attorney General... he loves cases like this one.
