Good news and bad news ..The bad news: you're certainly not the first that this has happened to, and probably will not be the last.

The bad news: you're certainly not the first that this has happened to, and probably will not be the last. Search for other reports on Susan Applegate and I'm sure you'll find plenty.

The good news: since you never received the book you don't have to waste your time reading it. Even better, you won't be fooled into thinking that you have some method of beating slot machines that will, most likely, cost you far more than the bogus book you never received.

I have researched a few of these systems and they all suffer from the same fatal flaw. Slot machines operate on random number generators that are set by the manufacturer and CANNOT be adjusted by the casino operator. Every system I have seen operates on the premise that casino operators have control ovwer the payout percentages on their machines. THIS IS FALSE! These machines are calibrated by their manufacturers, according to legal regulations, and are periodically inspected to ensure that they have not been tampered with. If they have been tampered with, the inspectors can tell pretty easily.

The long and short of it is this: DO NOT throw money away on gambling systems. The only effective systems are card-counting in blackjack (which you can learn for free from a hundred different websites, but I wouldn't advise trying it) and being a good poker player. Remember the old saying "What do the casinos say to people with systems? Welcome!"
