Suzuki Of Lakeland False Advertising bad treatment ripoff Lakeland Florida
We watched their ad on tv which is on almost every day. We call their number and they said oh yeah from what you have told me you will qualify for a car..Lets make an appointment and come down. I asked her well what are the real chances. She said as long as you have the proof of imcome and phone bill you qill qualify. She says we don't want you driving an hour and a half away for nothing.
Ok so my husband and I drive all the way down there. We get a salesman and he takes all the info we have and also takes our trade in info. We talk to another sales mananger and he says ok i see there are some credit problems but lets see what we can do. Sales manager comes back to us and says ok we can do it for 441.00 a month .
Ok we say. They take the car we had picked out and had it detailed. This is like 4 hours into this by now. We wait for awhile then the salesman comes over and says oh you need to fill out the references and sign this. Ok so we did . we sit for awhile again. Then he comes over and says to me can you verify your income. I said no I told you it was unverifible income i get paid by cash.
Then they get real snotty with us so yes my husband gets upset we had been there for 5 hours after telling us that we were approved for the car and now to say we cant do it unless you can prove your measly 100 a month when one of my husbands checks could well pay for the car payment. SO i went and got out car and we told them to give us our title and key back. they did and we left.
The next day i called them and they said well can you get a statement from your work to prove your income i said yes i could but you guys didnt give me that option before. She says well I will have your salesman call you . Guess what no calls at all . They just blow you off and

Your no better than they are. You can't prove your income because you lie about your income to the IRS or even better you probably don't even file taxes. Everybody else works hard everyday to have the government take half of their paycheck. You keep 100% of your income. So you have enough money to pay cash for a car or at least have good enough credit to purchase a car without proving income. Food for thought. Loser!!

After reading the report it was mentions that after speaking with a representative they informed you that proof of income and proof of residence is needed to be provided. I am guesing they suggested prof of identity because i called the number. All these documents are required when purchasing a home or car. It seems to me if you knew you get paid cash, and had no proof, what was the point of you the cumsumer waiting your time and the companies time. You called for advice but you know your cituation better then they do. It seems to me that people need to be informed when they try to purchase things. If you want to purchase something, and need financing, the bank (or lenders as the financial worls like to call them) will not give you a loan unless they are sure you can pay it back. In todays day, losing jobs, identity theft, and people not understanding their credit, we need to be educated.

I applied for an auto loan on line and they sent me to this dealership. I was told by the person who approved me that my husband had qualified for a no money down loan and then they told me that we would only need to bring the necessary documents with us.
So we went. And though are salesperson, James, was wonderful, the rest of the guys there are slimy. They will do anything to put you in a vehicle, even if that means financing you so that your purchase price is approximately 7000.00 over the sticker price.
They claim that they have to include all the extra fees for the " special financing" customers and that they are included on all cars for everyone. They refused to tell me what the actual price was I was paying for the car, and wouldn't tell me the interest rate. Our "finance manager" was so bad at bluffing and lying, that I knew I was being scammed from the minute I sat down with him. The last straw was when one of the other managers (up to that minute we hadn't even spoken him) came into the ladies bathroom and stood in the doorway while I was tryng to change my son's diaper. Then he proceeded to try to talk business while I was clearly busy with my son.
Bottom line, anyone who is that aggressive in their sales practices is clearly not someone you want to business with. They also tried to do the bait and switch and gave me a different finance offer than the one I originally was approved for. Come to find out, the woman who claimed she was the rep from the place I originally applied for was an employee of Suzuki of Lakeland.
I refused their finance offer and left. Lo and behold they call me at home twice the next day and claim that they can finally give me the finance offer I originally wanted. I am glad I didn't get sucked in to that mess! It would have done extensive damage to your credit and you would have ended up paying far more than the car was worth.
They will tell you anything to get you to come into their dealership, you are better off going to a bank and trying to get preapproved for a loan there and going to the dealership with check in hand if at all possible.
