I would like to first thank you for letting me know about this company. I won an auction (Dec 14, 2007) on Ebay for the "12 MP camera", however after reading all the posts I have refused to pay. I am currently waiting for The eBay Community Watch Team to respond to my claim as the title is fraudulent claiming the camera is 12 mp when it is not.

I have emailed clippercutie, they offered to let me pay the restocking fee of $ 30.00 if I didn't want to buy the item. Needless to say, I refused.
So now, I get the standard email you need to pay for this item. The emails have now escalated
THIS AUCTION IS PROTECTED AGAINST NON PAYING BIDDERS.

After 10 days our system will automatically report you to Reliabid as a Non Paying Bidder. They will turn your information over to the collection agency of Hunter-Warfield and you will be treated as a Non Paying Customer of our business and your unpaid invoice will go to collections for the full amount of your bid. We can do this because your bid was a Legally Binding Contract
to pay for the bid amount.

Maybe if enough people are aware ebay will go after these crooks!!
If they were giving these cameras away I wouldn't take one. Please save your money.

Being a Seller on eBay for almost 10 years has been an experience. In prior days to the seller being able to leave negative feedback for the buyer, I experienced less non paying bidders. Now, it's totally out of hand. I have had more non paying bidders then ever before and frankly, it's not only a waste of my time and money, but frustrating, because that item has to be held up in the process until the dispute is over. If is a holiday item, your out of luck and you will have to hold onto it for another year.

My personal suggestion to eBay, is to place an icon next to each buyer user ID who purchases an item, but doesn't pay for 30 days, so the entire eBay community could see who did not pay. DUI drivers get a special license plate in Ohio, so that everyone can see that they received a DUI. Yes, it's embarrassing to those. but they asked for it. Even with eBay, when a seller changes their user ID, eBay places an icon next to their user ID telling the eBay community that the name has been changed.

I sell excellent items and good quality and I make sure that my descriptions are are complete, so there is no reason for anyone backing out with anything once they choose to purchase that item - unless the buyer finds it someplace else cheaper and doesn't take their legal and binding contract serious, so they decide not to pay.

The same goes for shipping and handling. Buyers can see how much shipping and handling the product will cost to them. They agree upon this shipping and handling when they purchase the product, so how is it fair that they can leave a low DSR rating for any seller for shipping and handling?

We sellers are going through way too much game playing with buyers and it's time to stop.

I designed a video on how buyers ripp off sellers and you can view it at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q95IGlIxOSw This nonsense has to stop.

If you bought the item, you are obligated to pay for it. You should read what you are buying first and stop wasting everyone's time.

I"m glad I came across this report. I was searching for information on Reliabid and found it. I will give this Reliabid a try.

Research first and then bid

This is actually a clear example of what 'not to do.' First thing you should do is research the product, the company's reputation, and then decide to buy it or pass it. In this case the opposite was done and now the bidder is in the hotseat.
I am a seller on ebay and unfortunantly ebay is riddled with both crooked sellers and buyers alike.
Sellers should be held accountable to ebay's not significantly as described policys. Sellers are responsible to put out the high quality product that they are selling. If not then obviously the buyer should be refunded with the initial shipping costs however in this case the buyer decided to buy and then ask questions later while contributing to another nagging problem on ebay: Non-paying bidders.
Non-paying bidders hurt sellers. Sellers are charged initial listing fees that can total $3.05 to post the listing and then they charged a final value fee. However the seller can file a dispute and get reimbersed for the final value fee only, but looses the cost of the listing fees.
Now to the average person $3.05 may not be that much of a loss but multiply that by tons of non-paying bidders. My company reported 34 non-paying bidders as of Jan 1st to Dec 31st 2007. Take the $3.05 and multiply that by the 34 non-paying bidders. That totals $103.70 = big losses. Non-paying bidders are given a non-paying bidders strike on their record but they are free to go bid on another item freely leaving them virtually untouched while creating a loss for the seller. If they get a high ammount within a certain time period they can be suspendid but how many sellers loose money in the process?
Now sellers coming up with pretty harsh measures to combat the problem on their own. Opening an account with Reliabid is a big step. If you do not pay a seller after buying on ebay it can land on your credit report plus being forced to pay a restock on the product. During this duration the seller is required to hang on to the product and not sell it while adding on more frustration. So the restock fee makes up for the trouble.
Ebay will not find you credible because you ripped these people off by not paying like you obligated yourself to do in the first place.
