soon after being ripped off from another company, i recived a letter with the words important, rush, and was sent first class. upon opening this very offical looking letter, the letter head stated "sweepstakes advisor" and "registration notification" on it. on the right hand side of the letterhead were words stamped in red," funds are unclaimed reply immediatly".

reading through the document it stated at the top for me to give my immediate attention and response to insure i would not forfiet my rights to win sweepstakes cash awards of more than $500,000.00 . it went on to state as of this date the entire sum was unclaimed. further down on the document was the catch; i needed to complete a form and then include a one time research and data processing fee of $5.00 .

this form and the money had to be sent in before the dead-line of 11/05/03. no exceptions were to be accepted.

on the back of this document was fine print explaining rules and practices of this particular company. unfortunatly, you would need a lawyer to understand the double-talk on the document. the letter made you feel urgent to send the money that day.

the money for "sweepstakes advisor prize report" is "exclusively researched" for the respondent by the Emerson Publishing, incorperated. out of 504 searches on a popular search engine, i failed to turn up any business with the Emerson Publishing inc name.

the document stated satisfaction fully guaranteed or your money back. well the question is, what exactly am i suppose to get for my $5.00? from my understanding, it is the right to purchase cash and prize combinations listed in another sweepstake company.

i looked up each sweepstake company listed, along with the first one i got ripped off from. it seems they all have a common thread! i also noticed they have a promoter through another company in texas which i am not naming in this document. it is really easy to look up all of this information, and i hope i can help someone from being ripped off from these heartless monsters.

i can understand how nieve and innocent people,(especially the young and very old) can be ripped off. they should be ashamed! from an outsider not affiliated with any of the companies, it seems to me through my primitive research that all of these companies are really the one and same. especially interesting is the companies are all from Dallas, Texas.

I received in award letter from the Sweepstakes publishing Clearinghouse in Dallas, texas about a week ago. Without even investigating the situation I sent a $25.00 check to the company. I had no ideal what I would find out. I had sent a check in to purchase a laptop computer. After talking to a friend I was advised to do some research. I found that the computer this company wanted $499.00 for could be purchased in e-bay between $81.00-$260.00. This company gives you a voucher for $400.00 then ask you to pay the remaining cost of the computer. That would make the computer they are selling worth $899.00. This is a big rip off. They make you think you're getting but you're really not. They don't even tell you want operating system you're getting on the computer. You could be getting something as ancient as Windows 95. Anyway once I found out this was a big scam I called the company to cancel my layaway. The young lady who answered the phone advised me that I had signed a contract and I was obligated to pay until I paid them $499.00 for a computer I can easily get on e-bay for less than $200.00. She leet me know that they will continue to draw out of my checking account without my authorization. Even if you decide to cancel the merchandise they are telling you that you can't because you signed a contract. Because of this I will have to notify my bank to stop payment. This com[pany first told me that they couldn't help me until I got an account. Well guess what that's fraudulent too and they are just trying to buy themselves some time. They said they couldn't find an account for me but they had already deducted $25.00 from my account. They are just waiting for another month to go by so they can continue to withdraw from your checking account. Beware!1 these are con-artist. this lady practically told me that I was not going to get my money back regardless of whether I wanted this merchandise or not. If you are desperate for good products go to e-bay and make a bid. They give you a description of what you're getting. Please don't allow these people to rip you off by making you think you've been rewarded, becaause in the end you're really awarding them. Beware this is a Fraud. Any two year old can read right between the lines. Theis people don't even sound professional over the telephone. They are apart of a scam and they know it. Anyone who reads this message please pass it on to a friend. I hope Oprah Winfrey does a show on this sort of thing.
