I had received a letter in the mail from Dept. of Awards Research and Notification on Aug 05, 2004. Stating that I had unclaimed funds remaining $500,000.00 and I had up until Aug 25, 2004 to send in a $5.00 research and data fee.

If this company is a fraud they need to be prosecuted and sent to jail. I sent in my own hard working $5.00 to this company and now it is a possible fraud. I have two kids that I'm supporting by myself and $5.00 does come in handy. I hope something gets done about this matter and I hope that they will get sued and have to pay every single penny back to who ever they had ripped off.

Too Good To Be True.. If you have "won" something...why should you have to "pay" for it?

#2Consumer Suggestion

Sun, September 12, 2004

You were scammed. If you have "won" something...why should you have to "pay" for it? Kind of like those "work at home jobs" where they say send me $100 and I will put you to work. (ummm whom is working for whom?)

My suggestion is: When in doubt...Don't!
And: If it seems too good to be true...It probably is.

I'm sorry you were scammed...but that was a cheap $5.00 lesson learned....what if they had asked for $500?
Take care
Melinda
