Complaint Review: Sweepstakes Clearinghouse / Allied Marketing

I have delt with Sweepstakes Clearinghouse in the past. I knew I was not getting a special deal with their coupon. I used them because I could put it on layaway with small payments.

When I got the items they weren't exactly what I had ordered but close enough. I am easy to please. I thought the item had changed because they had been on layaway so long.

This time, however, takes the cake. I paid off the item. But waiting at the post office right now is my futon with a COD charge of $90.00. They have never sent anything COD before.

Always before I received my items by UPS, delivered to my door. I am not going to pay another $90.00 for something I already paid for so I guess I am just out $199.00 for. They have lost a good customer.

I will never buy anything from them again. I have accepted their switched items and not complained. I guess they felt they could get another $90.00.

Granted it was my daughter that went and checked on what was in the post office that was addressed to me. I have to work and can't get their during business hours.

I knew I hadn't ordered anything that would send anything COD. She said that it said Futon on it and it was from Allied Marketing. That is evidence enough for me. It will be returned because they will not get any more money out of me.

I did take me a long time to pay it off. But even at that it would not be another $90.00. It took me a long time the last time also but all I had to come up with to get it mailed to me was about $6.00. $90.00 is a definate ripoff.

Hopefully more people will become aware of their practice and they will go out of business. From now on I will just save up the money and pay cash at a reputable business.
