Sweepstakes Clearinghouse easy rip off scheme. Build trust then steal them blind. Dallas Texas
i am writing this for a co-worker that i work with. she had purchased items with this company before and had no problem. She ordered a camera and a ring and was happy with both. She ordered a television and returned it and they sent money promptly back. There was nothing to indicate that she could not trust them. Well she ordered a leather coat from them on nov. 20, 2006. As of today Jan. 3, 2007 she still had not received this item. we called the customer service and stated our problem. we told them that we knew they had cashed the check but had still not received the item. they could not find any proof of order. so we asked for her money back. they said they could not return it unless we proved that they had cashed this check and for us to fax them a copy of the check. I beleive in my opionion in order to cash the check you had to have an order number in order to cash it. We should not have to provide the proof of this it is already in black and white. with their own company signature when they endorsed it. In my opinion i beleive this is a scam. Because if you overwhelm with enough orders to get this and get that to prove something that has already been proven some just get fed up and give up and it is free and easy money. she is entitled her money and an apology which she will never get unless in their opionion she does it for herself.

It's not too much to ask, nor is it a ripoff

It's not too much to ask for a customer to provide a copy of the check cashed, front and back, as proof. Nor is it a ripoff to do so.
Have you ever worked in an office where literally thousands of checks are coming in? It's very easy to lose a check from its order. In fact, where I worked for 12 years, the mail was opened, checks stamped with an endorsement stamp, payment amount noted on order form, and then the two parted ways forever and ever.
Until the customer has provided proof, and STILL gotten no satisfaction or product, you are wrong to post it as a ripoff. HUMANS work there, we all make mistakes. Give the company a break.
