Sweepstakes Clearinghouse Failure to issue refund for returned product Dallas Texas
My elderly parents (ages 89 and 93) purchased a computer from Sweepstakes from a mailed offer in November 2008. The computer did not work and was returned for repairs on December 24, 2008. By February, with no correspondence from Sweepstakes regarding the CPU being repaired my parents decided to return the entire all the other computer components and request a refund.
Patrick (control number 3550) at Sweepstakes promised to credit their charge account in 10 to 14 days on May 11, 2009. It is now almost June 2009.
Numerous phone calls have been made time and again. Promises that the account will be credited have been made. No credit was ever applied! Sweepstakes admitted they have received all of the computers components.
My parent's credit card has never been credited and Sweepstakes now claims the credit had been made 3 months ago. This is not so!!!
They have scammed an elderly couple and still continue to send their special offers to them.
