Sweetberries located on Clark Rd. in Sarasota FL

The owners first name is Mike. I was delivering product to his store and had walked passed his office witnessing him basically scolding a female employee. He was telling her she was no good. That she was lazy, didn't know how to do her job. That she was making him look bad, etc. He had the girl in tears!

I do not recommend going to his establishment. He always has now hiring signs up. No wonder, if he treats his help like that!!! Don't give him your money and support him treating his employees like crap!

Beside all of that, I've been behind the scence of Sweetberries. I wouldn't eat there for the life of me. There were palmetto bugs crawling around in the corners of the floor. There was dirty rags left on the counters. Food was left open with no covers. You would think they would be shut down by the inspectors from what I witnessed.

I work at Sweetberries and I cant tell you how clean we are! 1. the "dirty rags" you speak of are changed everyday. we have a company come get them and give us new ones. they were "dirty" becase we are constantly cleaning things! shock! 2. we cut all our fruit and veggies every morning. nothing is left out overnight. as soon as something is prepared, it is but into a small plastic container and placed in either a cooler or in an chilled assembly line with a large metal pull down lid. I can assure you that this is proper procedure and since we bought all our equiptment from state recommended factories it would pass Florida dining codes. We also have a health inspector suprise us with a visit at least 4 times a year, and they have never given us a bad report.

Sweetberries a delightful experience

My wife and I visited Sweetberries after friends enthusiastically, encouraged us to try them.
We were delightfully pleased with the wonderful, frozen custards and deli-style menu offerings.
We were impressed with the friendly, helpful and courteous staff.

The facilities are impeccably clean throughout. This includes the outdoor dining area and restrooms.

Sweetberries was one of the most pleasant highlights of our first, full winter in the Bradenton/Sarasota area and we anxiously, look forward to returning time and time again to Sweetberries to sample their wonderful offerings.

To those who haven't enjoyed a frozen custard at Sweetberries, we strongly recommend you put this terrific place on your agenda. You will not be disappointed.
