I drove for Swift transportation for more than 1 year, ending about 1 year ago. This incident was filed on my DAC report (a sort of company transcript) as an accident, costing me a job and preventing my hire at other truck jobs for months. I got cut off in TN by two cowboys who wanted to fight. Refusing to stop my truck and get in an altercation with two attackers, one was the driver, caused them aggravation. They called my dispatch, claiming I hit them. I denied this to dispatch and police, b/c I had not hit them, and they did not damage their truck or property driving in the ditch. They never filed a police or insurance report. Swift is fully aware of this.

First off, he didnt drive the truck in the ditch , the 2 cowboys run off into the ditch !

2nd of all , who in they're right mind would pull over and stop when you have 2 people looking for a confrontation ?

Send a Qualcomm ? well he would have to stop for that since the trucks that i know of , you cannot read nor send a message while the truck is in motion and once again , it could have been very dangerous for him to stop .

Now i dont know this truck driver and have no interest other than seeing the other 2 people, who obviously failed reading comprehension , misunderstand the entire situation .

Michael , file a rebuttal on your DAC , state your facts and that there was never any accident report .

Mu husband is a trusk driver trainer, and while most his students are great people looking to better themselves , He has had a couple who were unbelieveable whiners and still to this day call him complaining and whining , last week one of them told him he was quitting and going to swift , Knowing what my husband does about swift , he told him that was a great idea !!!

YES if you drive thru a ditch it should be in your report.

YES you can put an explanation on file with thier "side" giving your "side".

I retred from Swift (came to Swift via MSC buyout) I found them to be truthful and honest.

I drove OTR for 20+ years.
