you know swift said in its report to the securities and exchange commission in their report that company profits

are dependant on many factors. retention of drivers both company and owner/operator. to list two.

now most say that company drivers quiting is no big deal.

these people cant handle the life style.

but to an o/o who thrives off of the industry, why doesnt that person stay? gauranteed freight, was he given pay per mile

or a percentage of the freight? and still leaves. if swift would read the ripoff report instead of their designated office monkey they would probably figure things out.

join the owner operator independant drivers association.
read what they have to offer and learn to protect your self.

read your fmcsr and find out what they are doing to you that they are not allowed to do.

never lease a tractor from a company that is leaseing the same tractor from another company.

you will never make any money and all you do is pay two diferent companies for the same truck.

pay your owne fuel, tolls, scale tickets, maintenance fees and you drive their logo not yours. and if you cant dig up your owne freight{getloaded.com and freightfinder.com}you are dependant on them.
if the leaseing company governs your speed at their company fleet speeds then your not an owner operator.

just a guy who is paying two people to drive their truck and promote their business not you and yours.
talk to real owner operators and ask them how much they have made in the year and how much they have lost.

if your going to leas then lease your owne truck from a dealer.
carry your owne logo not theirs.

promote your self not them.
drive for these pigs long enough to learn the ropes then buy your owne.
its truck driving not rocketry.
