After 6 months with Swift transportation I finally resigned since they failed to pay me over $1000 they owed me. Several attempts to be paid failed and I did file with the EEOC and Swift settled that claim for $800.

I was only given short loads of 500 miles and then given 4-5 days to get there. I barely made enough to support myself on the road. for the first 2 months I had to spend saved money.
I was further given a damaged truck, bent bumper and burning oil, etc.

I was further left sitting on several occasions for up to 5 days and not compensated.

I was further told that I had too much idling time on my truck. This was due to the times I was left with no load, trying to keep warm in the winter months.

For the first month and a half I received no pay and they claimed that I failed to turn in the paper work. I did!!! Since I left with cause, I applied for unemployment benefits and in the interviev with the Employment rep, Swift's people lied and caused me to lose these benefits.

I believe Swift did this since they refused to hire me on two occasions since I am considered disabled. After quoting the Laws on this subject they did hire me and did all they could to force me to quit.

Someone should take a close look at the practices of this company. They screwed me over and I'm sure they have done things to others.
