Swift Transportation/LancasterTerminal Orlando Williams wrongfull termination, falsification DAC, charactar assaination, retaliation assigning dangerous equipment. insurancefraud(paying for equipiment repairs through insurance claims Lancaster, Texas
Swift Transportation hired me as a new company driver in FEB 20011. After going through two mentors I received my upgrade and went Solo in wrecked trade truck which broke drown every week across the US. Most of my time was spent in terminals around the country replacing brakes air lines EGR sensors and partial engine rebuilds. In two instances ,Swift reported equipment malfunction on my DAC as preventible accidents.
In December of 2011 I delivered a load to Laredo. Brakes were full of water and in disrepair. Pulled into Laredo TX for inspection and repair. After trailer inspection I pulled from bay to go to tractor shop and hit brakes as I turned left. Truck lurched to right and I bumped marker pole .As I pulled into tractor shop next door I reported incident and had repairs done. After waiting for three days for load out I recieved preplan for delivery in PA. Since hometime was set for 24th I knew I would not be home for Christmas. Past experience proved that once in the Northeast corridor I would stay for weeks at a time. I declined load and waited another day for load to GA. Dispatch to GA. took me through Houston where I received T call and was terminated for poor safety record. My truck was already assigned to another driver from the Houston Terminal and I had to clean my truck out and catch a bus home.
After driving for this company for 11 months across the US in dangerous equipment, not being paid detention pay spending many hours sleeping in lounge chairs in terminals while truck is getting repaired, running 100s of miles in search of broken down T trailers, being dispatched to areas of the country with no backup, having three DMs and seeing the Terminal manager fired for not reporting equipment malfunctions as accidents, I truly wonder how this country can operate .
Its all about the freight and drivers are up against the wall when it comes to operating in this industry. I was never paid (as promised) for DOT #2 inspection, and seldom reimbursed for scale tickets. I averaged 9000 miles a month and had NO SVC failures. I was at the top of my fleet in fuel mileage and froze or cooked in my truck at night. or slept in truck stop lounges because I did not idle,
I am currently unemployed due to misrepresentation of DAC reporting by SWift I don,t want to work for this company. I just want my reputation back so that I may hire with another company.
I am a responsible husband father and tax payer. I will not be ruined by this company because of the misleading practices of the unprofessional Bob Wright of Lancaster TX
