Complaint Review: Swift Transportation

First of all, I went through swift school in Millington, Tn under the assumption from there web site and the recuriter the my gas money would be reimbursed on my fist paycheck. That was a LIE! I had over two hundred dollars in gas reciepts to and from school and orentation. The original reciepts were turned in at orentation (i made copies) for remimburstment on the first check and I still havent seen it. I called my DM and payroll several times in an attempt to solve the problem.

After I left a woman in Phoenix that worked in payroll a stern message she called my one day and gave a fax number for me to send my reciepts and I did. I still have not seen the money. Second, it gets old when a trip from point A to Point B is 840 miles and you get paid for 715 miles. When you call you DM he or she tells you, I will look into it, you never hear back or get paid for the extra miles.

I know swift is on rand mcnally miles but come on. You also get ripped when a customer is out of empty trailes and they send you 60 miles out of the way for a trailer and do not get paid for your trouble. When you call you DM he or she tells you what you want to hear just to get you off the phone. I could go on and on about how swift has ripped me off for breakdown pay, truck supplies, etc. Also if you refuse a load even if you know and they know its illegal swift gets mad. Then your DM will crap on you for your next load.

Swift could be a good trucking company if they can work out some of the bugs. IF any swift drivers are reading this. UNIONIZE!
