Swift Transportation prehired by swift go to orientation before any test they say you don't gualify Edwardsville Kansas
I went to ATTA or [ roadmaster ] american truck training acadamy filled out an application, they said I am prehired by swift ALLRIGHT. So I paid 3900.00 for the school 160 hrs. about 4 weeks took my cdl test past, & now I get an orientation date to go to edwardsville ks. for 3 days of test & to get ready to go on the road with a trainer. Now remember they've had all my records for a solid month social security # license # history of employment everything.
So all 14 of us are sitting there waiting to start & they call me into the office & say you don't gualify I said what do you mean I don't gualify nothings changed since I applied & gave you all my personal info. except the fact that I have already paid for your schools training I gualified @ the beginning how can I not gualify @ the end when nothing has changed. Oh by the way Jill was my recruiter. Is this just a way for them to collect money from people that really want to work. How can they get away with this? I called Jill up emediately & asked why I didn't gualify she said it was co. policy not to disclose that info. I said you prehired me now you say I'm not so doesn't that mean you fired me & don't you have to tell me why you fired me she said no. Somebody help please, I just don't understand how this can be legal. Thanks fo listening

I HAVE SEEN ADS FOR TRUNK DRIVING SCHOOL THAT PROMISED YOU EMPLOYMENT BY VARIOUS TRUCKING COMPANIES AFTER GRADUATION BUT THE THING IS THAT IT IS JUST DECEPTIVE ADVERTISING ( COMPLAIN ABOUT THESE PEOPLE TO THE FEDERAL TRADE COMMISSION) TO GET YOU TO ENROLL IN THEIR SCHOOL AND SPEND MORE TO LEARN WHEN A COMMUNITY COLLEGE COMMERCIAL DRIVING COURSE COULD HAVE TAUGHT YOU BETTER FOR MUCH LESS. AND .THE JUNIOR COLLEGE HAS LEGITIMATE TRUCKING COMPANY RECRUITERS COMING BY TO TAK TO YOU ABOUT REAL WORK.
YOU NEED TO SEE AN EMPLOYMENT LAWYER AND IF HE OR SHE DOES NOT THINK THAT YOU WERE REALLY EMPLOYED, THEN YOU CAN CHECK WITH ANOTHER ATTORNEY ABOUT FILING FRAUD CHARGES AGAINST THEM AND TRYING TO RECOVER YOUR MONEY.
IF THEY MADE YOU FILL OUT A W-2 AND GAVE YOU AN EMPLOYEE HANDBOOK, YOU HAVE A STRONGER CASE FOR BEING HIRED UNDER FALSE PRETENSES BECAUSE THAT IS PROOF THAT YOU ACTUALLY WERE HIRED.
YOU NEED TO MAKE COPIES OF THE ORIGINAL PAPERWORK AND TAKE THOSE TO THE LAWYER --ALL OF THE PAPERWORK THAT HAD ANYTHING TO DO WITH THIS
FROM THE FIRST DAY YOU SPOKE WITH THAT RECRUITER, THE ENTIRE CONVERSATION AND EVERYTHING --YOUR DAILY SCHEDULE WHEN YOU TRAINED, THE NAMES OF YOUR INSTRUCTORS --EVERYTHING AND I DO MEAN EVERYTHING!
