ok here goes i was a ms diver then came swift , i had a deciated run in wilton ny and i got hurt on the job in oct 2001 now after two oper on my back and still out i get a letter from swift separtion ntice because my medical leave has expired, now i have no insurance or anything and all swift say,s about when doctor think,s you can go back call us and maybe we will put you back to work , as far as i think swift suck,s

Ok Monroe, If you live in NY it is agaist the law for them to fire you for being on workers comp. and you can to the NY comp board and file a claim for it. If I were you I would get a Comp lawyer.

I have been off also for a year and a half. I got the same letter. This is a case of Swifts right hand not knowing what the left is doing. Call Human Resourses and ask them why you were terminated for drawing a workers comp claim. Trust me they will immediatley respond with "oh there must be some mistake".
You will be immediately reinstated and retroactively. I know if you just accept the letter and dont challenge it you will be screwed. Call Phoenix terminal 800-800-2200 and ask for human resorces.
