Complaint Review: Swift Transportation

Went to Orientation in New, Boston (Detroit Area) after getting all emails from Recruiting stating pay an so forth! This past Monday! They even have U get thier Urine Analysis and Hair Sample a week ahead of time, prior to even going, an claim they will give U a 100 bucks to do it! We'll see! They shortened their Orientation to 2 days from 3. 

That all being said, here's what the "scam: thier pulling on people! If they did it to me, I'm sure they are doing this to others! On Monday 8 am, I had "In Writing now" (E-mailed) what my Pay was "going to be" for an Experienced Driver with Swift/Knight. Gross= $1200 a week or so! Net= $900 or so! I PASSED THEIR DRIVING TEST WITH ("Their words, NOT mine" with "Flying Colors"!) End quote! Monday at 4pm or so! They told me "due to some kind of "Policy BS", The Driver's Test "Means Nothing" and their NOT COUNTING, much of my Past Driving experience with other companies, (In the last 8 years) because it's not in their "Time Frame" of the last year!

Yet, they are "Using that experience" to Hire me! But their "Not Counting it"! I'm like "Duh" WTF???  Then, I have to "go out with a Trainer(Mentor) for "Basically" Two Weeks or 50 to 100 Hours"! (Which, due to "scheduling" any1 with any experience in this Business at all, knows REALISTICALLY would be more than likely at least 1 month!)  My Pay would be reduced around $700 a week to $500 Bucks a week!! (Oh, it get's "Better"! I'm Not thru!) Again, despite Just Passing their driving test with "Flying Colors"!

Then on Tuesday (Day 2 of their Orientation) Keep in mind, I PASSED Thier Driving Test with "Flying Colors" their words NOT Mine! 1st, they "Avoid me like the plague! During the Morning, after telling me the end of Monday (Day 1 of their Orientation)that they "Needed and Answer" Today! But would let me "think about it", but I had to tell them "1st thing the next morning"! Then I had to "Corner the guy" after his classroom lecture and said Look! I have 2 concerns

1. Safety, (I can not sleep on a moving truck! This is why I got out of being a Team Driver!)

2. I want everything "In Writing" even if it's just an Email from U about this supposed "Training Period with this Reduction of Pay!" He gave me all this "Mealy Mouthed B.S. ) Then "Claimed" he would! But of course, "NEVER DID"

Well, at the end of the day yesterday, they have U do all the remaining "Paperwork" Taxes, I-9, and "Final Payroll" Here's where it gets REALLY Interesting! They LOWERED MY PAY AGAIN to ONLY $7.50 an Hour! NOT EVEN MIN. WAGE IN THE STATE OF MICHIGAN!!! Or $375 a week !!!! MY PAY WAS "LOWERED AGAIN" $125 a week?????? Plus, "oh because of scheduling" per se' keep in mind that 2 weeks might "in reality" be into the 3rd, or up to a Month! because of "Oh having to get scheduled to get Ur tractor an everything, Blah, Blah, Blah! So, IN TWO DAYS OF THE ORIENTATION, MY PAY WAS LOWERED $825.00 A WEEK!!!!!  GROSS NOW- FROM $1200 or so A WEEK! TO $375 A WEEK. I haven't worked for that in 25 years or more!!! Not even, for the last 8 in Trucking, for God's Sake!!!

Just so everything's fair! Nobody thinks or feels like this is BS. I was a "Re-Hire" BUT 2 weeks ago! They "Claimed" (again, prior to me "coming back), I could have my SAME PAY/Deal, I had "Last Fall" with them. But had to "step away" for around 7/8 months or so, for the "Final Days" and care of a Family Member who died! That family member has died! I went back to them "In Good Faith" AND THEY STILL PULLED THIS "SCAM" ON ME, "CLAIMING THINGS CHANGED" And their Recruiting Department in Wisconsin was in "League with them too" My Recruiter claimed he "Couldn't Over-ride it" and this dude was "going thru" the same "type" of family situation as me!!! Or so he "Claimed"!! 

NOW, MY FAMILY ATTORNEY TOLD ME, DESPITE NOT HAVING A "CONTRACT PER SE' AND EVEN THOUGH I HAVE THE EMAILS WITH WHAT MY PAY WAS GOING TO BE, SINCE I WAS NOT "TECHNICALLY" HIRED YET! THEY COULD GET "AWAY WITH THIS B.S. ! SO JUST TELL THEM TO "F#$%K OFF" NO JOKE PEOPLE! HE USED THOSE EXACT WORDS! "TELL THEM TO F#$%K OFF" SINCE THEY DID NOT HONOR THE ORIGINAL DEAL I HAD IN THE FALL OF 2018, CLAIMING ALL THIS "MEALY MOUTHED B.S." ESPECIALLY AFTER THE DEATH! U CAN NOT TRUST THEM! 

So the "Take Away" I guess here; "Beware of Swift" or Swift/Knight Transportation. "New Company" same "OLD Bullshit" !!! I wonder how happy they would be, if the US Government or someone took 80% of their "pay", out of their "Pocket Books"??? Jackasses!!! They "penalize" people for taking care of their Own Families! At the "same time", expressing condolences an all this! Then "stab me in the back" NO THANKS!!! I'll PASS ON THESE CLOWNS!!!
