This guy Jeff Yurtin is incredible. Its a mystery that he is still in business, but as he admitted, he dosen't have to care about the "few" people that he screws.
I gave jeff the opportunity to make good on his company's screw up, but after an hour on the phone at my expense, he did nothing but prove that all the reports and negative comments about him are 100% true.
He personifies the RIP OFF.
My mistake was finding this website AFTER I ordered from him. Lesson learned.
As of today there are 97 complaints pending with the BBB, and mine will be next.
I ordered a 100 lb sand filter for my pool. They charged me the day I ordered...most companies charge when the item ships, but whatever.
Almost 2 weeks passed, and I had no email, and no filter, so I called the company only to find out my item was backordered. Meanwhile, I got no email or call that my filter was backordered.
I asked if I could cancel my order, but his person assured me that it would ship over the next 1 or 2 days, and they would email me a tracking number...that never happened.
I called back a few days later, still not shipped, again I asked to cancel, and I was assured on a friday that on monday it would ship and I would have a tracking number. I have come to trust online business, so in good faith I gave them another chance. NO SHIP- NO TRACKING NUMBER.
I call on 6/30 to cancel, so SCOTT emails the pool vendor to cancel my order, but instead they respond with a UPS tracking number, for a filter that was being shipped to KENTUCKY, too bad I live in New Jersey. I responded right away that this was wrong, and I got NO RESPONSE.
On 7/3 (1 month later) I get a delivery of a filter that was nowhere close to what I ordered, it was a much larger 230 Lb filter, usless to me.
I called SPE right away and reported this, because my concern was that my 1 HP motor would not work with this filter...the SPE guy told me that "it should work", but when I said "If this filter causes my filter to burn out, I would be screwed right?" The SPE guy responded "Yes, I think you should probably return it."
On 7/3 I faxed the return authorization form. Someone called me to get a clarification as to what happened with the filter, but when I tried to call back, my rep was "busy" and never called me back.
I wasted another few days waiting for someone to respond to me, finally I got on the phone with SCOTT, who is useless, and he told me that the filter would be picked up on monday 7/14 by UPS, but to expidite, he said I could drop it at UPS myself, which I did that afternoon. SCOTT told me to email him the UPS tracking number, which I did that same afternoon. SCOTT told me I would get a $159.00 refund after I sent him the tracking #. That never happened.
Jeff's argument is that I got a filter, although it was WRONG. I ordered 100 Lb filter , and I received 230 Lb filter, not the same on my planet. Although his company screwed up, sent me the wrong item, and treated me like crap, he still seems to think that I should pay his incredible restock fee and shipping fee's ($70.00 +)
And I dont care what his assinine policy is, this was a clear case of his company mis-handling an order.
He held my money hostage, and I still have no refund, and I have no product. His company screwed up, and I am righfully owed a full refund.
He is rude, arrogant, and ignorant, and when I offered the facts of this case, all he could do was stutter, insult me, and try to tell me how Ford does business selling cars. What an a*s.
I will tell everyone I can.
