Symantec denies rebate payment for Norton AntiVirus 2004 claiming the sales receipt does not demonstrate purchase of the required product, but both the product names and 12-digit product codes on the rebate form, sales slip, and product packaging match exactly.

The rebate form was generated when I purchased the product by the cash register at Staples, so I could not even have gotten the rebate form if I had not purchased the eligible product.

Symantec assumes that most buyers will not complete rebate forms, but then withholds rebate payments when buyers submit the forms using false excuses, such as claiming the wrong product was purchased.
