I think i was buying something on Amazon or some other place where these offers came up and I signed up for a year. I got the cancellation card with the fine print of how to do that with the number to call 800-927-9351 . Guess what happens when you call the number, it takes you to a Dating service or some such shady outfit. I googled for the Company name SYnapseConnect and came to the rip off report and there was a very helpful post from someone who listed the right number to call - 800-601-1958 and go thru the AutomatedVoiceResponse hell to finally cancel the subscriptions.

They sure done make it simple or straight forward to cancel, the options are so confusing that you think you are cancelling, but end up selecting a renewal. You have to be very careful and even after you cancel, they still pound you for renewal and start of some other magazines. Horrible creatures, this company and their execs should rot in hell for their sneaky and gotcha practices.

After I cancelled thru their automated voice response hell, I called the number again finally got to a Live person after a series of purposely entered incorrect information ( 000* , as suggested by in one of the posts does not take you to a live person, it seems), the operator ( I dont fault her, she's just doing her job for a few dollars, please dont take it out on these folks) confirmed that the subscriptions were cancelled, and I tole her about the fake number on the card, and asked her if they knew about it or what they were going to do about it. She just mumbled the thank you for calling blah blah blah and hung up!

After all this I do hope that the magazines were cancelled. Never ever sign up for these magazines or any such offers, they stick you with the high priced automatic renewals for ever and if you are not extremely careful with the cancellation, you are screwed.

Thanks to all who posted the correct number to call (1-800-601-1958 ).
