My first couple of payments went ok with Synchrony Bank. Mind you that I have been with my bank for 30 years and have always paid my bills by my debit card. All of a sudden in Feb. 2016 I made my payment online as always, using the came method of payment, my debit card and I only have one bank. I made the payment of 79.81on 2-19-2016 at 4:13 pm and was given a conformation number. I would never had made a payment unless I had the money in the bank so I went online and pulled up and printed the history for Feb.19-2016. I did have the money in my account.

I am not sure what kind of game they are playing but I am beyond livid. I have an excellent rating with paying my bills on time until Syncrony Bank came along. I  have filed with the BBB and do plan on taking this further to the banking instatute. to get some resolve.

I find it hard to believe that a company can operate this way and this is why I came forward to try and help stop this fraudulant practice from continuing on.

Whatever you can do to help, will be grately apprreciated.

My best,

Carol Sheehan

There are some things missing from your story.

Such as this happened in Feburary..why are you waiting until May?  You would have had at least 3 and possibly 4 billing cycles since then.

There is nothing you have posted about what they said when you called them and asked what happend.  Are you really going to come here and say that in the 3 months since this happened you haven't attempted to contact them even once?

Then there is NOTHING about what your bank said when you asked them why the payment was sent back.  You see the creditor (Syncrony in this case) isn't going to be the one who pulls back the payment if there isn't enough money in your bank.  They just care if it is accepted by the bank.  If you have zero dollars in the account and the bank approves it they could care less, in fact they wouldn't even know.  All they know is that it is approved.  So if it was rejected perhaps you should look a bit more at your bank.
