on November 16, 2005 I was looking for government grants on the internet, I found Synergy Pro Consulting who claimed that they could teach me how to obtain a government grant for a startup business and that the fee would be $3,350.00. I was trying to open up a event and party planning company in my city.

When counseling began I started to get concerned aboput the whole program because I really was not learning anything I did not already have knowledge of, after I completed the business plan that they said I needed in order to get a grant or loan.

I showed it to a Small business Administration counselor and he said it was wrong and made me do it over again. When I want back to Synergy and asked them if there were really any grants out there for event planners during a conference, I was told no and when I ask for my money back they refused.

Now I have no grant or loan for what I have paid them thus far. I spoke with the SBA and they said there are no government grants specifically for event Planners and that government grants are difficult to get and are usually for nonprofits or other specail needs groups.

Synergy is now trying to sue me for the rest of their money but I refuse to give this fradulent company a one more dime of my hard earned money. I know there are other people out there with the same problem I have with Synergy because this company is listed on rippoff several times. Help I need a Lawyer fast.
