synonym.com Farm user information by withholding synonyms, Internet
Synonym.com is using a high SEO algorithm to be placed high in Google's search results for users trying to find synonyms. I clicked the link and went to Synonym.com. It had the usual plethora of crap links on both sides of the site and when I inputted a query, the results were not displayed as expected but a required farming tool questionnaire came up. It required the user to input personal data which the site could farm and potentially sell to others or use for other reasons. Disgusting, I absolutely hate these types of websites and gives the Internet a bad name and reputation. If you own the domain name Synonym.com, you should provide the service of giving synonyms for the user. Sure advertisements help create income for your operational costs but to farm user information for underhanded use is gross and should be stopped.

That its not something with your browser? I just went to that website and typed in 15 different words and none of them brought up any form asking for any information.
Even if they did ask you for information, how exactly are they ripping you off? They are offering you a service for free that they are paying for. If you dont want to provide the information, then don't use the site. The site is not owned publically, its a private site. They can do what they want with it. that wuodl be like going in to someone's house and demanding to use their thesaurus for free and not expecting them to want anything out of it.
