I purchased a sidekick slide for my daughter as a gift. I upgraded my plan so she could have internet access with her sidekick. After a couple of month the phone would not work correctly and I contacted tmobile who sent out a replacement phone. The replacement phone did not work properly either and once again called tmobile who told me I would have to send the phone back at my expense and they would then sent out another replacement. The whole process took about a month and I was still charged internet access fee even though we could not use it because we had no phone.

The replacement did not function properly either and when I call tmobile they again told me I was to send the phone back again at my expense and they would send out another replacement. I told that I did not want to keep going through this and I did want a replacement sidekick slide and if they would just send us a sidekick lx.(made by different company). They told me that they would not exchange it for another sidekick. They only offered my another type of phone and it was not even comparable to the sidekick. It did not have a full QWERTY keyboard which is why I purchased the sidekich anyway. I paid full price for the sidekick slide which was over 300 dollars. They were not willing to help me at all.

I was told at two different tmobile stores that the sidekick slide has been discontinued and that they had many problems with that model and that they know of people who were sent the sidekick lx instead. T-mobile was aware of this from the first time I sent back the phone and they never informed me. I have been a customer with them since 2003 and have 4 phones on with them.

I believe they should replace the phone with another model sidekick or let me out of my contract so I can change carries. My contract on 3 of my phones ends in Dec 9-08 and the fourth ends in april 09. Can anyone assist me, or offer suggestions.

If your phone was bought this year, you still have warranty, you should speak to a supervisor so they can issue you another replacement phone, so you dont have this issue in the future, always ask to speak to a supervisor.

Hope that helps, or better yet go to a store and have a supervisor call customer care and do that for you.
