T-Mobile Refusal to accept any type of complaint call! Bellevue, Washington
It all started with an illegal telemarketing call in violation of the National Do Not Call List...
In case it is illegal to publish the name & phone number of the criminal here, I will not show the specifics. The caller is trying to sell air duct & carpet cleaning services. Many unscrupulous people ignore the No Call List because it is so difficult to identify the actual caller & reporting them to the FTC and/or FCC is worthless.
Since this caller was stupid enough to show their actual cell phone number, I followed up. It is a T-Mobile number, which I learned when I called it back. Of course the criminal did not answer & her voice mailbox was full, but the end of the recording confirmed the cellular number I reached was through T-Mobile.
I started out by calling T-Mobile's Customer Service published phone number. I got a recording stating the hold time was over 6 minutes, so I could request a callback by entering my phone number, which I did.
I received a callback from a rep who gave his name as "Jack", but he has a very strong accent that sounded Indian to me. He was polite, but informed me any complaints must be submitted in writing. I asked where T-Mobile's corporate office is & was eventually given a street address in Ft Worth, Texas. Since I live in that area, I was surprised, but after leaving me on hold AGAIN!, he confirmed, but left me holding while he checked further. Since I was on the phone holding several times with "Jack" & getting nowhere, I eventually hung up, to get the correct information from the Internet.
SURPRISE! "Jack" was wrong & T-Mobile corporate is in Bellevue, WA! So I called the corporate phone number, willing to pay long distance charges to receive proper handling of my complaint:
1-425-378-4040.
My call was answered by "Nick", who said he was a switchboard operator for T-Mobile corporate. When I asked for Customer Relations to lodge a complaint, I was told he could not transfer me OR give me another number to call, since ALL complaints MUST be in writing! I was shocked at the lack of service, even after being given incorrect information about Corporate's location by "Jack" & even calling Corporate long distance, at my expense! I was never abusive, but I did say to Nick (if that's his real name) that surely T-Mobile did not want complaints turned over to the media, since T-Mobile is making it VERY difficult to lodge a complaint. He told me to do whatever I need to do, then he gave me an Albuquerque, NM address to mail a written complaint to!
What a LACK of SERVICE! T-Mobile, you should be ASHAMED & I expect an apology, as well as expedited handling of my complaint! AND I want you to address your customer using your cellular service ILLEGALLY, in violation of the LAW!
Documenting my complaints here was my 1st step, but if it is not resolved swiftly & appropriately, I will continue documenting and escalating this!

Before you go off on your crusade for justice, go back to Google and enter "caller id spoofing". Telemarketers that make bootleg calls most often do so using a spoofed caller ID information.
It is common practice for scammers to spoof their ID and fairly simple to accomplish with the proper voip services.
