T-mobile will not stand behind their product.
We wanted an upgrade on our phones and were given an one year extension along with the deal. The phones were horrible. They broke 2 times. I don't have the space to comment on those cheap, worthless pieces of plastic.
We finialy went back to the prepaid phones we started with 5 years ago because they actual work. When we called to complane about them we were asked to trouble shoot them, after 5 times we quite calling.

Then one of our phones broke and we had paid insurance on our plan for over 3 years and were told we had to pay a $100 deductable for a phone that costs $70.
As soon as T-mobile has your contract, all customer service goes out the door. I will sit out the contract, because I don't have $400 to end the contract.
Never, never , never trust T-mobile to come through on their end of the deal.

This is your typical complaint about a cell company. Uninformed, and wanting somethine for nothing.

"The phones were horrible. They broke 2 times."
I wonder how? Did they just magically decide to break??? I have heard of camera phones, video phones, bluetooth phones, but I have yet to hear of phones with legs that jump off cliffs to damage themselves.

"When we called to complane about them we were asked to trouble shoot them, after 5 times we quite calling."
How about trying to call for help? Both sides might understand the situation more clearly and reach a resolution. Calling simply to complain is like saying your going to talk and we're just going listen. That works with children, but not with grown people. Are you going to help anyone who just wants you to shut your mouth while they complain about how horrible your are?
Being asked to troubleshoot your mobile phones sounds like somebody tried to help you out anyway. Call any company, ten times, twenty times, they're NOT JUST going to give you a phone just because you call complaining and demanding one.

"Then one of our phones broke and we had paid insurance on our plan for over 3 years and were told we had to pay a $100 deductable for a phone that costs $70."

-#1) No phone costs $70. The cheapest phone's full price is $99.99. It's the basic white Nokia 6010. This is the price T-Mobile has to pay to buy the cheapest phone from the manufacturer, Nokia. Riculous price: YES, I agree.
Am I making this up: NO.
Try to buy it flat out on the Nokia website. There you'll see that's what it costs. You only get the phones from T-Mobile at a discount because you are agreeing to a one year contract. You don't get to break them as many times as you want.

-#2) That's insurance. You name it. Pay car insurance, dental, vision, or health insurance: there is always a deductible. There's also a deductible with Sprint's insurance, Nextel's, Verizon's, All State, Farmer's, State Farm, you name the company. Phone insurance doesn't equal free phone replacement.

-#3) The out of warranty fee is what costs $100, not the deductible. There is no fee for a defective phone. T-Mobile will replace your phone if it is defective and still under warranty. Any kind of physical damage to the phone, including severly cracked parts, broken or smashed screens, or water damage, voids the warranty. If your phone is defective, and not physically damaged, then you get a free replacement (provided you are within your 1 year warranty).

-#4) Finally, if you do have insurance. The three deductibles are as follows:
Tier A: pay $3.99 per month, deductible is $40 (e.g. Nokia 6010)
Tier B: pay $5.99 per month, deductible is $70 (e.g. Samsung E315)
Tier C: also pay $5.99 per month, $110 (e.g. Sidekick II)

"As soon as T-mobile has your contract, all customer service goes out the door."

Customer service does not mean you get to call and tell us to shut our mouths while you complain, and then the company will automatically do what you want. It does not mean you get to break your phone as many times as you want, and the company will just give you one. Try going to best buy and telling them that you broke your T.V. They're going to tell you to buy another one. And by the way, T-Mobile recieved a JD Power award for "Highest Ranked Wireless Customer Service Performance" for the 2nd year in a row. Don't take my word for it. You have the internet at your fingertips. Go to www.jdpower.com and check it out.

Whatever you say... I wish you luck and hope this helps.
