I received a letter stating I had won $38,000 and that this is my final notice. I also received a very authentic looking check for $3,880. It said I had won 38,000 by being entered, without my knowledge, into a 'Consumer's Reward Program Lottery'.
The names attached to the letter are agents Wesley East, Karen Moe and Lisa Epainto (vice president). The 3,880 is to pay for the luxury tax.

Letter also states the following:
For security reasons (!) we advise that you keep this award from public notice until your claims have been finalized. This will help us prevent fraud and double claims.

It also said they attempted to contact me previously (not true).

I contacted CoastHills Federal Credit Union (company check was written on). They are aware of the scam, the check is completely bogus and I was advised to destroy the documentation. Wish there was something more I could do to stop these scammers!
