We parked at Taco Cabana & planned to eat there after we went to the spa next door.  However, we failed to read the fine print towing sign that said you need to be a customer of Taco Cabana to park here.  I though since we'd go afterwards that it would be fine. 

WRONG! 45 minutes after, we walked outside to find our car gone.  Taco Cabana workers said the company waits and watches outside to see if you go anywhere else & then they make their move to tow your car.  I told them we were going to eat there afterwards, but they said we should have told them first.  WHAT a rip-off (especially for the fact that it cost us $200 in towing fees).  Taco Cabana people lied because they say that the towing company goes inside and talks with Taco Cabana, to see if they are a customer or not.  YET it happened to another lady who had already eaten there, and went next door for a spa, later finding that her car was towed as well.  

NEVER go to Taco Cabana on S. Lamar in Austin TX because they probably will tow your car just for the heck of it.  Unless you want to get your car towed... 

~ Angry customer that used to like Taco Cabana.  Now I will never eat there again.

how does Taco Cabana know what your "intentions" are? You were away for almost an hour.

Take it as an expensive learning experience.

BTW, How "fine" was the print on the signs?
