Talavera Engineering was hired by the general destruction CONtractor to do the engineering for three Steel Support Beams to be on the outside porches of a new house.  Instead of having the Beams installed with Slip Joints which is stadard procedure, especially outside, due to changes in temperature, Rene at Talvera opted to have the mounts cemented in the Block and the beams welded to the mounts.

When the weather got cold and the beams contracted faster than the block causing several Blocks to crack.  The Blocks were repaired but cracked again.  The Beam in the front is 18 feet the Beam on the back Porch is longer  than 25 feet with a extension at 90 degrees longer than 10 feet and the Beam on the back porch is longer than 10 feet.

None of the Steel Beams were installed with Slip Joints.  This is simple Engineering at it's worst.
