Talent And More Billed my Embarq account without my consent. Internet

I received my telephone bill from Embarq and noticed a monthly $19.95 charge from Talent and More. I called the number provided and was told I had ordered their services. I stated that I had NOT ordered their services and to cancel the account immediately. They cancelled the account but told me that it would take two to three billing cycles to remove it.

I then called Embarq customer service and complained. Embarq removed the charge immediately. I then placed a block at the cost of $.50 per month to keep third party charges off my phone bill. The more I think about it, the more angry I am at the phone company. They are now getting another $.50 a month from me for them to stop allowing scam artists from billing my phone.

I have basic phone service which runs $29.95 and I pay an additional $19.98 in taxes and surcharges on top of that. I think Embarq is right up their with Talent and More.
