Complaint Review: Tall Timbers Apartments

The day I signed my lease, the manager was giving me a hard time. I didn't think anything of it but it did make me feel uncomfortable. The next week I had a complaint because the people above me were making a lot of noise. So I decided to mention it to the property manager and about the lady in front of my door that smokes. When I told the manager about my problems her words to me were "I will not do anything about that because they've been living here for many years". That really upset me. I went upstairs to address the lady and the noise because it was making me upset and I was waking up to in the morning from banging. I later discovered that the lady had a large dog and two large children that ran around all day. The children are old enough to be in school. And they should have been most of the time.

THE NEXT WEEK I GET A NOISE COMPLAINT AT MY DOOR. It really surprise me because I don't make any noise. I'm quieter than everybody in the neighborhood. The noise complaint was from the properties managers best friend who lives in the complex. So from that point on I decided not to have any one-on-one conversations with her. I emailed her addressing the letter and all my complaints. She tried to call me afterwards. I did not answer. I sent her another email letting her know that I was uncomfortable and I will prefer communicating by email. a few of the tenants had told me that the maintenance man roams around your apartment to see if you're doing something you're not supposed to. They also told me that the property manager watches everything you do. They also told me that the property managers best friend went spreading rumors around the complex about me. An entire building of people would stare at me and watch me. They would stand there with their arms on their hips like Superman. They would look down the halls and even look inside my house when I open the door. One guy came to me on a golf cart verbally attacking me. And people I didn't even know, wouldn't wave when I would wave hello.

The list goes on and on. I had to start video recording everything that happens. I have proof with text messages and video. I called the police when the man attacked me on the golf cart. I went to go file stalking restraining orders against the property manager and her buddy. Due to being uncomfortable, I contacted the owners lawyer. I was unable to reach the owner. So I spoke to the property management about breaking my lease so I could just move out. She wanted to charge me three times the rent. I only stayed there a month. My rent was $1300.
