On Jan 18th 2011 I had an oil leak issue with a new 2010 Honda NT 700 V motorcycle. Took the bike into the dealer in Thomasville Ga for repair. Told by the dealer that a qualified tech wasn't available to repair my bike. Bike was then taken to Tallahassee Powersports to begin repairs by a qualified tech. Bike was moved to Tallahassee on Feb. 3, 2010. Bike was broken down, defective engine parts had caused internal damage and this was at 2261 miles.
American Honda shipped all the parts to repair the bike, but the tech quit and left the dealership in early March. The parts are all ready to be installed to make the motorcycle run, was told it "be ready in a couple of weeks" after the parts were all there. As of March 16th, no one has touched my motorcycle in the shop, and American Honda has told me there is no expected date of completion of repair. "They are short-handed" was all I have been told by both the dealer and American Honda.
I paid 10,000 for the bike new, and it has been in the shop as of today, 59 days. The engine had defective parts from day one, and I have nothing to show for my investment other than, "we'll call you with an update." from American Honda.
No promised completion date, defective engine parts, no dealer service, don't buy a Honda.
I feel as if I've been ripped off for 10k dollars and seeking resolution here is my last resort.
