Complaint Review: TampaRV

TampaRV RVOne Not only should "Buyer Beware," but must add, "and Have an Attorney on Retainer." Purchased a pre-owned 2016 Forest River Berkshire XLT 43b in October 2017. THEIR employees discovered needed repairs during the Pre-Delivery Inspection. Ownership and Management stated they would fix these issues.  Dover Florida

They tried (or so they say) for OVER 3 months. In the end, ownership and Management IGNORED their senior mechanic's written corrective action because it would cost to much profit money. Instead they coorexted the main issue AND CAUSED another - kitchen slide raised to ensure wood below refrigerator did not scrape tile floor thus CAUSING the whole body paint stripes on outside if $200,000 coach to NOT be alligned. And then refusing to do anything else.

Promised (and in writing) to fix their own employees' identified problems in my newly purchased pre-owned RV. IN THE END, instead of properly fixing a minor issue on the coach, they took the LONGEST and CHEAPEST route for them to fix the problem (which they did) by CAUSING a BIGGER ABD INCREDIBLY noticeable problem on the outside of the coach - full body paint stripes no longer match on $200k RV.

Change write up to: Promised (verbally and in writing) to fix problems identified by their own employees during the pre-delivery inspection on my newly purchased pre-owned RV. They tried (or so they say) to repair/fix/correct my RV issues for OVER 3 months. In one case, in the end, ownership and Management IGNORED their senior mechanic's written corrective action because it would cost to much profit money. Instead they "fixed" the main issue AND CAUSED another - kitchen slide raised to ensure wood below refrigerator did not scrape tile floor, thus CAUSING the whole body paint stripes on outside if $200,000 coach to NOT be aligned. And then refusing to do anything else. Really!!?? The same company, allowed me to take delivery of the vehicle, only later, much later, to discover there was one appliance recall (h*o water heater) AND FOUR National Safety Recalls on the coach. They did apologize for their neglect stating they always check to make sure there are no outstanding recalls before delivery. Really!!?? In addition, during the past excruciating 3 months, they stated over and over they were waiting for parts to fix my coach...ONLY to find out that they had in fact had some of the parts delivered, signed for, and waiting to install. Other times, they had to apologize that parts weren't ordered, the wrong parts were ordered, the wrong parts were delivered, the parts were delivered and found to be broken, etc., etc., etc. Then, to make it worse, one time they had my coach for a month, didn't do the install, as one department never communicated to the other that the parts were on-hand (even though they're maybe 15' from one another), AND then allowed me to take the coach on a long 2-week trip - even though I had asked the Service Department weeks before if I could and should make a planned trip and was told it would be no problem. The parts I needed did in fact fail during the trip! They apologized. Really!!?? Additionally, it took them FOUR times to replace an outside compartment lock THEY had removed from the coach. The first time they SIMPLY forgot to put a lock on the replaced compartment door. The second and third times they had scheduled a mobile mechanic to come out to me to replace the lock...BOTH TIMES the mobile mechanic couldn't do the task - one time a mechanic was sent out without the lock and the second time the mechanic told me he had told the service advisor WEEKS BEFORE that this task required a lock smith with special tools. Really!!?? There's more. Really!!?? Yup!
