Right before Thanksgiving my computer messed up. Something happened on the inside. I tried to use warranty. They turned it into a nightmare instead of piece of mind. To make a long story short , they shipped me a box and I shipped it out. On Dec. 15, 03 I got it back and it was unusable. They broke my facing and my on button. UPS did not do this. I had to go get a lawyer for them to send me another box to fix it. On Jan. 29, 04 I called Tandy (Radio shack) and he (Hank) said they was going to ship my computer back broke and when the button got stuck again they would fix it right. I told him no, I want it fixed right now. He said he had to order a part.

The following Tuesday they had it shipped back to me. The UPS man caught up with me on Thursday and I refused to accept it because I was still under the impression that it was broke. I bought a 17" flat screen monitor. When I first got it, it crashed a lot then it seemed like it just did it less often after a while. I used to like my computer but shop nbc and Tandy (Radio shack) turned it into a nightmare that I don't seem to be able to wake up from. I will never buy another thing from shopnbc. I block their station from my tv. I have not used my new computer since right before Thanksgiving. It seems to me that my computer should have been up and running a long time ago.

Tandy Service-Shopnbc Service Plan-Tired of the game playing and lying

I contacted the attorney generals office and they did get involved but the extended warranty people just played with both of us. So here is what happened. I still didn't get my computer back the way I shipped it out. I still have the down graded piece of junk sitting on my floor that isn't mine.

I said I would settle for 2 out of 3 years warranty money back. They told the attorney general's office that they would give it back but guess what. I haven't seen my money yet. It has been a couple of months now. I learned a very valuable lesson on this one. Don't buy off tv. If you get ripped off there is no help out there.

On June 24, I went to a store in my home town and bought me a new tower. The guy that waited on me knew what I was looking for when I told him what I wanted in my computer. It didn't cost anywhere near the price to the one that Tandy's destroyed and had programs downloaded on it that I do use. In fact it is better then the one I used to own. It hasn't crashed yet either.

I have been thinking about going through small claims court and seeing what I can do there. I am tired of this nightmare.

If anyone is reading this and thinking about buying a new computer or something else that is expensive off tv. There is no help out there. Please buy in your own home town. If I can stop one person from being taken like I was, then my story was worth being told.

Right after I wrote my letter on this sight, They did respond. they called me and I explained again what the problem was. I recieved a computer back Feb. 26, 2004.It was a plain old box and they downgraded what I did have, I don't have any more. My facing is plain where it wasn't before. My usb ports are missing from my computer. They really screwed me. My computer value dropped real fast. I contacted the attorney generals office. At least I am not the only one that they are trying to rip off. I called 1-800-551-5073, the waranty no. right after I recieved my computer and more or less they blew me off again. I am tried of this nightmare. I just want to wake up and this nightmare will be over and I will have my computer back the way it used to look, that is the reason why I bought it. If I wanted a plain old box I could have gotten that here and a lot cheaper. Debbie from the warranty place, if you happen to read this, you lied to me, you said my computer was all fixed and that nothing was broken. They did not ship my computer back to me, they shipped an old box and on top of that, they sent a downgraded computer. I want my computer back and you people better start treating your customers a whole lot better and quit blowing them off.
