I got suspicious when I received the beginning. Maybe it had something to do with the fact that "HR" didn't ask any relevant questions.

They set up an appointment for me to meet with Arik in Mission Viejo. I arrived at the nicely appointed office building on time, but I could not find a listing for them on the tech-forward directory. No one had heard of them. I double-checked my phone and found the suite number.

I walk into the office and it has elaborate lighting, beautiful views, gorgeous conference room table and chairs -- just like the website picture shows.

Three beautiful bombshells sit behind the desk. I ask for Arik and the blonde dismissingly hands me clipboard and asks me to complete an application. I tell her again that I am there to see Arik and I ask if he is in. She gave me a fake teenager smile and said, "Oh yes, he's back there in his office."

15 minutes go by, and ask ask the blonde if she had an estimate of how much longer would be. She looked irritated by my presence, "I'm not sure, he's with someone right now."

At the 30-minute-wait mark, I called HR instead of addressing the blonde again, "Hey, what's up? I'm sitting here waiting. Can you find out how much longer Arik will be as I have another appointment scheduled?"

HR:  I wouldn't have told you to meet with Arik because we don't have an Arik.

Me: I am looking at your email right now. You sent it yesterday at 11 am. It says Arik.

HR: We don't have an Arik. What's your phone number again?

Me; Here's my number and by the way, your receptionist says Arik is in his office, so obviously they think you have an Arik.

HR: I'll call you right back. Give me a few seconds.

Waitiing, waiting, waiting....

45-minute-mark: Man comes to the lobby and starts talking to another woman. I interupted him, "Excuse me...do you know an Arik?

Man: No. I don't know an Arik

Me: There's no Arik here - A-R-I-K ?

Man: Oh yeah, Arik works here but he's not here right now.

Me: Oh? When did he leave?

Man: He left hours ago - earlier this morning.

In the meantime, I inquire more about the company's address.  It turns out that over 30 companies rent this suite 300 and share it. They divy up the times and days. No one knows what the heck is going on.

I am reporting this experience because a I hope to prevent other people from wasting their precious time.

HR never called me back.  Arik didn't call to apologize.
